昨日このコーナーでATCAインターナショナルのご紹介をしたら、さっそく代表のマルガレータ・ワイセルさんからメールをいただきました。ちょっと長くなりますけど、ご紹介しますね・・・英語ですけど。

I remember you, how could I possibly forget? That I did not forget
Toyota Vista in KOCHI shows this picture, taken two weeks ago
in Rangoon, Myanmar. A bus from Tokushima. there are many old
busses
from all regions of Japan.
I sent out my New Years letters before my trip to Burma last
December. Mr. Treude in Nagano takes care of ATCA, and I am happy
he does. I have no other help right now.
So I wish you, all your colleagues, all TOYOTA VISTA STAFF IN
KOCHI and especially all who are helping ATCA, a very successful
and happy, healthy and peaceful New Year 2003! Your mail made
me very happy. How wonderful all your internet pages!
So I am happy that you are so faithful, still helping ATCA. You
know that our world is not peaceful, and that the indigenous peoples
are the ones most suffering from all this. They are the last members
of society.
But they are very lovely members, as you know. I was in Manila
last May, but I only closed my house. I have so much work in Indochina
now, in Laos, Myanmar, Vietenam, and the old projects doing very
well in Indonesia, in Jolo - yes, in Jolo, Philippines, and in
Zamboanga, in Tawi-Tawi, but I only have written contacts and
e-mail with bishop
Lampon in Jolo. Unfortunately Zamboanga and the South is so terribly
dangerous, that we can not even visit it.
But in the meantime I have so many other groups to help, and
the Lao people as well as the Burmese people are most lovely.
I reteurned from
Burma four days ago, just the night before New Year. It was so
wonderful, but so terribly poor. The actual military regime does
not give any freedom - nor food - to the people. What is happening,
nobody knows precisely, it is worse than what we know. Laos is
better in many ways, in Northern Laos I can work with the German
project, and help where they can not help. I enjoy the remote
tribal people, and also the most wonderful temples in Laos and
Burma. I just visited Mrauk U in Northwestern Burma, very ancient
temples, forgotten and far from this world.
We just started an official office ATCA ITALIA in Southern Italy.
It is in the place my sister lives. Some city councellors and
business men from Southern Italy were interested about our work
with tribal people.
Great to hear from you! I hope to see you sometimes. Let us see!
Thank you and all your volunteers for your kindness and faithfulness
to my work.
Your
margareta
